As used in this article, the following terms
shall have the meanings indicated:
ASHES
The residue from the burning of wood, coal or other combustible
materials.
GARBAGE
Waste foodstuffs or table wastes of animal or vegetable origin.
HEAVY TRASH
Major appliances, furniture, furnishings, auto parts and other waste not conforming to the size limitations set forth in §
188-2 of this article.
NORMAL HOUSEHOLD WASTE
Any ashes, garbage, refuse, rubbish and trash within the size limitations prescribed in §
188-2 of this article.
RECYCLABLES
Newspapers, cardboard, aluminum, food and beverage containers,
plastic containers (No. 1 or No. 2), and glass.
REFUSE
Garden, lawn or tree trimmings and leaves.
RUBBISH
The waste material from normal household living conditions,
but not including waste materials from building construction or repairs.
"Rubbish" includes such items as paper, rags, bottles, tin cans, plastic
containers and similar materials.
TRASH
Worn-out, broken-up or worthless things.

Any person who violates any provision of this
article shall be guilty of an infraction and, upon conviction thereof,
shall be subject to a fine of $50 for the initial offense and $100
for each additional violation.
