This article is enacted under the authority
of Chapter 74, §§ 74.47(2) and 74.12(2), Wis. Stats.,
and the penalty imposed herein shall be used only for the purpose
of directly reducing the property tax levy of Price County.
There is hereby imposed a penalty of 0.5% per
month, or a fraction of a month, in addition to the interest of 1.0%
per month under § 74.47(1), Wis. Stats., on any overdue
or delinquent real estate taxes and special assessments, special charges,
and special taxes and personal property taxes.
This article hereby specifies that the County
Treasurer shall exclude the additional revenue generated by this penalty
from the distributions required by §§ 74.47(3) and
74.12(12)(a) and (b), Wis. Stats.
