There shall be a system for the assignment of
street numbers which shall be in accordance with a plan or map recommended
by the Township engineer, approved by the Township committee and filed
with the Township engineer.

Upon approval of a plan or map, the Township
committee may by resolution order notices to be sent to all landowners
on the streets or parts of streets affected. The notice may be served
personally (sic) or by mail. It shall contain the tax map block and
lot number of the property and the street number assigned to it and
shall state that the owner is required within 90 days to place on
display on or in front of any building erected on the premises the
number assigned thereto.

The numbers required to be displayed by this
section shall be Arabic numerals of such size and so located as to
be clearly visible to persons passing the building on the abutting
street.

No certificate of occupancy shall be issued
for any new building until the provisions of this section have been
complied with.

The Township Committee shall have the power
to correct any errors which may be discovered with regard to the assignment
of street numbers.
