Whenever the Fire Official shall have cause to believe that a building or business would require an annual fire prevention inspection, and the building or business is not a life hazard use, the owner of the building or business, if not already registered, shall fill out, and return within 15 days, the registration form provided by the Fire Prevention Bureau. Any building or business registered as a non-life hazard use shall pay the annual Fire Prevention Registration fee within 30 days of receiving the annual invoice. Annual invoices will be sent electronically in the first quarter of each year or in the case of newly registered building or businesses, within 30 days of the building or business being registered. The fees shall be based upon the square footage of the use and are as follows:

Portions of churches and religious facilities used as sanctuaries and fire departments and first aid squads are exempt from fees.
