The Board of County Commissioners recently adopted a Safety Policy.[1] The first step is to appoint a fire marshal from each department, i.e., someone responsible for making certain the department is evacuated when the fire alarm sounds.

The name of a fire marshal and an assistant fire marshal from each department should be submitted, and the Board of County Commissioners will inform the departments of the responsibility of each individual. The demands of this position are not great, just simply necessary. Someone has to be on the ball when disaster strikes.
