[Amended 7-12-1993 by Ord. No. 11-93]
A. The owners or occupants of every dwelling, house,
store or other building which now fronts or may hereafter front on
any street within the Borough of Hampton shall cause the correct street
number to be placed in neat and legible numbers in some conspicuous
place on the front of said building so as to be clearly visible from
the curb. In the event that the dwelling, house, store or building
is not visible from the street for any reason, the numbers will be
placed on a sign, mailbox or other such appurtenance, such that said
placement does not violate any postal regulations or other land use
ordinances in effect in the Borough of Hampton.
B. The numbers to be displayed shall be a minimum of
three inches in height.
C. The Borough of Hampton shall mail the owner and/or
occupant of each dwelling, house, store or other building covered
under this chapter notification no later than August 31, 1993, of
the correct number designation based on the block and lot map herein
appended. Said owner and/or occupant shall then have until January
1, 1994, to be in compliance. Any property that becomes subject to
this chapter after January 1, 1994, shall have 30 days from the date
of written notification of the correct number designation to be in
compliance.
