At such time as a public sewer becomes available
to a property served by a private wastewater disposal system, a direct
connection shall be made to the public sewer within six months after
date of official notice, in compliance with this chapter, and any
septic tanks, cesspools and similar private wastewater disposal facilities
shall be cleaned of sludge and other collected material and filled
with suitable material at the owner's expense.
No statement contained in this Article shall
be construed to interfere with any additional requirements that may
be imposed by the Health Officer of the State of New York, County
of Chautauqua or local municipal government.
