There is hereby established a part paid and volunteer Fire Department
in and for the City of Linwood to be known as the Linwood Volunteer Fire Company
No. 1.

Said volunteer fire company shall consist of a Chief, Deputy Chief and
Assistant Chief who shall be volunteers; two Captains, one of whom shall be
a paid man; and such other officers as may be required under the constitution
and bylaws of the volunteer company.
Candidates for the position of full-time paid firemen or volunteer firemen
shall submit to a thorough medical and physical examination, evidenced by
a certificate by the examining physician that he or they are physically and
mentally fit to perform the duties of a fireman and that they suffer from
no respiratory diseases.
Salaries for the paid firemen shall be in accordance with the published
salary ordinance.
The hours and duties of the paid firemen shall be determined by the
Chairman of the Fire Committee of the City Council and shall be administered
by the paid Captain.
