It shall be unlawful for any person or persons, body or bodies, corporations, their engineers, agents or servants, to obstruct or prevent the free uninterrupted use by the public of intersections, caused by the crossing of any street or thoroughfare by any railroad car or series of railroad cars or parts of a railroad car at any railroad grade crossing within the limits of the Township of Greenwich, for a period longer than five minutes at one time.

Every person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this article or who fails to comply therewith, shall severally for each and every violation of noncompliance pay a penalty of not less than $100, or a maximum penalty of not more than the sum of $500, or be imprisoned in the Gloucester County Jail for a period of not more than 30 days, or both. Each day a violation exists under this article shall constitute a separate offense under this article.
