The Township of Chester has within its borders natural conditions,
including but not limited to, topography, soil types, water supply,
drainage, wetlands, marshes and woodlands. It also contains significant
groundwater resources and aquifers.
The Township of Chester meets its residential and commercial
water and sewerage needs through the utilization of on-lot private
wells and private septic systems.
No well or water supply system constructed on a residential
or commercial lot or site in the Township of Chester shall provide
water supply to any other lot, either in the Township of Chester or
elsewhere. Water supply shall be restricted for use exclusively for
the lot on which the well or water supply system is constructed. No
water shall be permitted to be piped or transported off lot.
