The fire chief in each fire district located in the Township shall be required to notify the Housing Officer and the Construction Officer of any fire damage caused to any building or structure to which said Fire Chief's fire company was required to respond.
Said notice to the Housing Officer and the Construction Officer shall be made in writing within seven days of the occurrence of any fire covered by this article.[1]

A violation of this article shall result in a fine of not less than $5 nor more than $500.

No claim for fire damages in the Township in excess of $2,500 shall be paid by any fire insurer until such time as all anticipated demolition costs and all taxes and assessments and all other municipal liens or charges due and payable, appearing on the official certificate of search; or all taxes and assessments and all other municipal liens or charges due and payable, appearing on the official certificate of search have been paid either by the owner of the real property or by the insurance company pursuant to N.J.S.A. 17:36-10; or the municipality submits to the insurance company a copy of a resolution adopted pursuant to N.J.S.A. 17:36-11, allowing for installment payments.
