The following uniform service charges, being
less than the average actual cost of installation, are hereby adopted.
Such charges shall be payable in advance. Where sizes larger than
indicated are desired, an advance deposit shall be made by the customer
in the amount of the cost as estimated by the Department.

A. The following metered service rates shall be applicable for general metered purposes in the service area, including residential, commercial, industrial, irrigation, water district and other municipal customers. Charges are for three months of service in arrears and are payable in accordance with Article
IV of this Part
1.

B. The minimum charge shall be $40 for inside the Village and $50 for
outside the Village. In addition, if any bill remains unpaid for 30
days beyond the billing date, there shall be due and payable an additional
fee in the amount of 12% of the amount of the bill.
C. All fees in this section shall remain in effect until June 30, 2019.
Thereafter the fees can be increased or decreased by action of the
Village Board from time to time.

A deposit is required to cover the estimated
connection costs contracted by the Department.

The following charges shall be payable quarterly
for service in arrears:
A. Customer-owned hydrant within Village: $7.50.
B. Customer-owned hydrant outside Village: $17.
C. Department-owned hydrant outside Village: $22.50.

If an outside reading device is installed in place of a radio
read meter, the charge shall be at the Department's cost.

A. Whenever water service has been discontinued by the Department for reasons specified in Articles
IV and
VIII of this chapter, the payment of a service charge of $150 is required prior to restoration of service.
B. In the event that charges or violations of Articles
IV and
VIII have not been satisfied by or prior to the date of the turnoff notice, and an employee or agent of the Department arrives at the premises for this purpose though the service is not actually shut off, a service charge of $50 is likewise required.

A. In the event that a resident of the Village of Johnson
City or a resident outside of the limits of the Village of Johnson
City is desirous of obtaining an abnormally large quantity of water
for the filling of a swimming pool or for other purposes, arrangements
for the same shall be made with the Water Department prior to the
taking of said water. Authorization for the taking of such water in
unusual quantities will be given only if the same can be safely delivered
through the Water Department's facilities and alleviating the possibility
of other consumers being inconvenienced.
B. The Water Department Superintendent and the Chief
of the Fire Department of the Village of Johnson City are authorized
to comply with requests for filling swimming pools, conditioned upon
a charge being made to the residents of the Village of Johnson City
at the regular rate for such water used and an additional charge for
labor for two men at the prescribed rate during working hours and
1 1/2 the rate for overtime.
C. For non-village residents, the charge for water shall
be 1 1/2 times the charge to village residents.
