The Board of Supervisors finds and declares that:
A. Public nudity disturbs the peace of the community.
B. The prohibition of public nudity is necessary and proper
to preserve the peace and protect the welfare of this Township and its citizens.
As used in this chapter, the following words and phrases shall have
the meanings here specified:
NUDITY
The showing of the human male or female genitalia, pubic area or
buttocks with less than a fully opaque covering, or the showing of the female
breast with less than a fully opaque covering of any part of the nipple.
PUBLIC PLACE
Includes all outdoor places owned by or open to the general public,
and all buildings and enclosed spaces owned by or open to the general public,
including places of entertainment, taverns, restaurants, clubs, theaters,
dance halls, party rooms or halls limited to specific members, or restricted
to adults or to patrons invited to attend, whether or not an admission charge
is levied.
This chapter is enacted pursuant to Sections 1506 and 1527 of the Second
Class Township Code.
Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this chapter shall be subject to the appropriate penalties set forth in Chapter
1, General Provisions, Article
II.
