A Municipal Court for the City of Bordentown, New Jersey, is established, as of January 1, 1949, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter
264 of the Laws of 1948, as supplemented.
The name of the Municipal Court shall be the "Municipal Court
of City of Bordentown, New Jersey."
The Municipal Court shall have a Seal which shall bear the impress
of the name of the court.

There shall be a Municipal Court Judge of said Municipal Court,
who shall be appointed by the Board of City Commissioners and who
shall serve for a term of three years from the date of his appointment
and until his successor is appointed and qualified.

The Municipal Court Judge shall receive an annual salary as
stated in the Annual City Salary Ordinance.

A. Said Municipal Court and the Municipal Court Judge thereof shall have, possess and exercise all the functions, powers, duties and jurisdiction conferred by the provisions of Chapter
264 of the Laws of 1948, as amended and supplemented, or by any other law.
B. Said Municipal Court Judge, in reviewing and ruling on defendants' applications for representation by the Public Defender adopted by the City pursuant to Chapter
7, Attorney, Prosecutor and Public Defender, of this Code, shall have the authority to assess an administrative fee of up to $200 as a condition of granting such applications, which fee shall be applied to help defray the city's costs for the Public Defender's services.

The Municipal Court shall be held in the City Hall, City of
Bordentown, New Jersey. The Municipal Court shall be in session on
the first Friday of each month, beginning at 9:00 a.m., and on the
third Friday of each month, beginning at 6:30 p.m., and at such other
times as the business of the Court may require, subject to the rules
applicable to Municipal Courts.
