The Township Tax Collector shall, within seven days of receipt of any taxes collected, deposit the same in an account established in the name of the Township in a bank or other depository authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania which account shall be insured to the limits permitted by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation or the Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation.
The identification number for the account, for purposes of federal tax reporting, shall be that of the Township.
The Township Tax Collector and the Township Treasurer shall each receive periodic statements issued for said account.
The Tax Collector shall, on or before the 10th day of each month, make a true verified statement in writing to the Treasurer of the Township for all taxes collected during the previous month giving the names of the tax payers, the amount collected from each, along with discounts granted or penalties applied, if any, and the total amount of taxes received, discounts granted and penalties applied.
