A.
The Township of Whitehall hereby adopts a Municipal Seal as outlined in the print hereon, in accordance with the following description and the color impression attached hereto and made part of this Part 6.
B.
The shield containing representation of industrial, educational and governmental facilities is intended to represent the broad cross section of activity which contributes to the strength and balance of our community.
C.
The designation "First Class Township, Lehigh County, 1902," together with the letter "W" located in the lower portion of the shield represents the date when Whitehall was decreed to be a First Class Township.
D.
The wreath which embraces the shield and the banner located below the shield and overlapping the wreath and containing the words "Of People, By People, and For People" stands for the dedication of governmental officials, both elected and appointed, to the citizens of Whitehall.
E.
The words "Founded 1867" located above the shield and between the tips of the wreath stands for the date Whitehall Township became a separate governmental unit.
F.
The double circle containing the words "Whitehall Township, Pennsylvania" and five-pointed stars represents the five major villages of the Township: Cementon, Egypt, Fullerton, Hokendauqua and West Catasauqua.
G.
The border located on the outside of the circles represents a replica of the sun's rays to indicate that Whitehall will forever have its place under the sun.
