Editor's Note: The preamble to this ordinance stated that one centralized Township-wide U.S. Post office and mail distribution system had been established for Whitehall, PA, in accordance with the directives of the U.S. Postmaster General; that instead of five separate village post offices with 11 separate mail delivery routes, the Postmaster General's directives provided for the establishment of one centralized Post Office to be known as Whitehall, PA, with mail delivery service from that central office being extended to all residents of the Township where post office requirements were or could be met; that the ordinance was enacted in order to help effectuate and implement those directives and in accordance with the First Class Township Code.
