Township of Lower Pottsgrove, PA Article VII Tax Collector Fees

§ 220-67 Authorization of tax certification fee.

The Lower Pottsgrove Township Tax Collector is hereby authorized to charge a fee for the preparation of a tax certification that sets forth the status of Township real estate taxes for any parcel of real estate located within Lower Pottsgrove Township.

§ 220-68 Fee.

The amount of the tax certification fee to be charged by the Lower Pottsgrove Township Tax Collector is hereby established at $25 for each certification provided by the Tax Collector. The amount of this fee may be changed from time to time by resolution of the Board of Commissioners of Lower Pottsgrove Township.

§ 220-69 Tax Collector to retain fee.

The Lower Pottsgrove Township Tax Collector shall retain the certification fee as reimbursement for expenses incurred in researching the status of the Township real estate taxes for the parcel requested and preparing and transmitting the certification to the requestor.

§ 220-70 Authorization of charge for returned checks.

The Lower Pottsgrove Township Tax Collector is hereby authorized to charge a fee to any person whose check for the payment of Township real estate taxes or any fee is returned to the Tax Collector because of nonsufficient funds.

§ 220-71 Returned check fee.

The amount of the fee to be charged by the Lower Pottsgrove Township Tax Collector is hereby established at $25 for each check returned for nonsufficient funds. The amount of this fee may be changed from time to time by resolution of the Board of Commissioners of Lower Pottsgrove Township.

§ 220-72 Tax Collector to retain fee.

The Lower Pottsgrove Township Tax Collector shall retain the returned check fee as reimbursement for expenses incurred as a result of the check having been returned for nonsufficient funds.

§ 220-73 Authorization of fee for duplicate tax bills.

The Lower Pottsgrove Township Tax Collector is hereby authorized to charge a fee to any person who requests a duplicate real estate tax bill or who makes payment of a real estate tax bill without returning the payment portion of the real estate tax bill.

§ 220-74 Fee for duplicate real estate tax bill.

The amount of fee to be charged by the Lower Pottsgrove Township Tax Collector for the duplicate real estate tax bill shall be $4. The amount of this fee may be changed from time to time by resolution of the Board of Commissioners of Lower Pottsgrove Township.
