The Parks Commission shall be comprised of seven members who
shall be appointed by the Mayor with approval of the Common Council.
The chairperson shall serve a two year term, expiring at the end of
each odd numbered year. The six remaining members shall serve three
year terms, with the terms of two members to expire at the end of
each year.
The specific powers and the duties of the Parks Commission shall
include:
Creation and maintenance of a master plan for the acquisition,
disposal, layout, improvement, beautification and maintenance of municipal
parks facilities.
Provide recommendations in regard to the management and maintenance
of municipal parks facilities.
Recommend programs and funding for improvements in layout, maintenance
and operations for the beautification and enhancement of parks facilities.
Recommend any necessary rules and regulations for the use of
parks facilities.
