It shall be unlawful to make repairs to any
vehicle in any public street, except in case of such emergency as
may prevent the safe operation of the vehicle. Under such circumstances,
the vehicle may remain only as long as may be reasonably required
to make sufficient repairs to move it from the public street.

Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate
any of the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction, be punishable
by a fine of not more than $250 or by imprisonment for not more than
15 days, or both.
