Any person violating any of the provisions of Articles
IV and
V, with the exception of §
145-34, shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $300 and costs of prosecution and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment for not more than 30 days and to have his vehicle impounded, provided that payment of the amount of the fine set forth in the notice to the office of the Mayor (see Subsection
C below) or deposit of the same amount in the courtesy box, within the time limit and under the circumstances provided by §
145-36 of this chapter, shall save from prosecution any person making such payments.
