GENERAL REFERENCES
Traffic Violations Bureau and Parking Enforcement Officers — See Ch. 38.
Pursuant to § 10, Subdivision 4(a), of the Municipal
Home Rule Law, the Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of
Stewart Manor hereby authorizes and empowers the following persons,
as public servants, to issue appearance tickets in accordance with
Article 150 of the Criminal Procedure Law against any persons, parties
or entities pertaining to the enforcement of any statute, local law,
ordinance, rule or regulation of the Village of Stewart Manor and
certain other violations:
A.
Mayor
and Board of Trustees, or their designated representative.
B.
Village
Clerk or Administrator, or his designated representative.
C.
Village
Building Inspector.
D.
Parking
Enforcement Officer, or Associate Parking Enforcement Officers. These
officers are also authorized to issue appearance tickets for vehicle
registration and inspection violations under the Vehicle and Traffic
Law.
An appearance ticket issued pursuant to this chapter shall be
returnable in the Village Justice Court of the Incorporated Village
of Stewart Manor, 120 Covert Avenue, Stewart Manor, New York, and
shall be in a form prescribed in accordance with the provisions of
the Criminal Procedure Law relating to accusatory instruments.
