The terms of office of the Superintendent of Highways and the Town Clerk of the Town of Dickinson, Broome County, New York, shall be four years.
This article intends to supersede § 24 of the Town Law of the State of New York as it applies to the Town of Dickinson, New York.
This article shall in no way change the provisions of § 86 of the Town Law of the State of New York except as to the length of the term of office of the Town officers above set forth.

Editor's Note: This local law was passed at referendum 11-3-1998.
The term of office of elective Town Supervisor of the Town of Dickinson shall be four years. Such four-year term shall commence on the first day of January 1999, in accordance with this article.
This article shall supersede in its application to the Town of Dickinson § 24 of the Town Law with respect to the term of office of the elective Town Supervisor.
