Each grinder pump or similar installation requiring a power
source and utilized to serve a building, structure, residence or the
like shall be provided a power source from within the building, structure,
residence or the like for the operation of the grinder pump or similar
installation at no charge to the Town or sewer district for the use
or hookup to the power source. The grinder pump or like equipment
shall be installed on the property of the building, structure, residence
or the like and not within the public right-of-way.
For new districts as part of the initial installation of infrastructure,
the district may bear the cost of the installation of the grinder
pump and power hookup to the power source at the building, etc., but
shall not be responsible for the ongoing power/electricity costs.
