The purpose of this article is to establish a procedure for selection of a Tribal Judge pursuant to Article
V of the Menominee Constitution and Bylaws.
As used in this article, the following terms
shall have the meanings indicated:
CHAIRPERSON
The person elected as the presiding officer of the Tribal
Legislature.

TRIBAL JUDGE
The person appointed to the office of Tribal Judge by a majority of no fewer than six votes of the Tribal Legislature for a term of years set forth in Article
V, Section 2(c) and (d) of the Menominee Constitution and Bylaws.
TRIBAL LEGISLATURE
The governing body of the Menominee Tribe elected/appointed
pursuant to the Menominee Constitution and Bylaws.

To hold the office of Tribal Judge, a person shall meet the eligibility requirements of Article
V, Section 4(a) of the Menominee Constitution and Bylaws.
