The City traffic schedules are maintained in the Police Department and Clerk's office.

(a) 
Prohibited acts. No person shall leave an automobile unattended on any street, parking lot, public ground or alley while the motor is running. No person shall permit a motor vehicle in his custody to stand or remain unattended upon any street, alley or public place in the City without first stopping the engine, locking the ignition, removing the key and taking it with him.
(b) 
Officer to remove key. Whenever any police officer finds any motor vehicle standing in violation of the provisions in Subsection (a) of this section, the officer shall remove the key and deliver the key to the Police Department. Upon so doing, the officer shall attach to the vehicle a notice that the keys will be returned upon presentation of the notice and proof of ownership of the vehicle.
(c) 
Motor vehicles weighing more than 6,000 pounds or exceeding 23 feet. Motor vehicles weighing more than 6,000 pounds or exceeding 23 feet in length shall be subject to the following:
(1) 
No person shall park for any period of time or leave standing for any period of time any motor vehicle weighing more than 6,000 pounds or exceeding 23 feet in length on any public street in a residentially zoned district, public parking lot or property.
(2) 
The operator or owner of any truck weighing more than 6,000 pounds or any truck tractor, motor bus, trailer or semitrailer exceeding 23 feet shall not park the same on any street in the City longer than 30 minutes, except for loading and unloading.
(3) 
In commercial and industrially zoned districts where such parking is not otherwise prohibited or restricted, this section shall not prohibit any owner or operator of any of the vehicles listed in Subsection (c)(2) of this section from parking such vehicles for longer than 30 minutes between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. A commercial vehicle in excess of 23 feet in length may be parked on any public street in any district for a temporary period of time necessary to make a pickup or delivery from a building fronting on that street between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., provided further that such pickup or delivery shall commence immediately upon parking the vehicle and continue without interruption until completed and in no circumstances shall such vehicle park on any public street in excess of 30 minutes.
(4) 
The parking prohibitions of this subsection do not apply to school buses as defined in W.S.A., § 340.01(56).

No person shall remove, without proper authority, any rope, cable or barricade of any description which has been placed across any entrance to Geneva Lake. No person shall drive a motor-driven vehicle in such a manner as to bypass or circumvent any barricade across an entrance to Geneva Lake when such barricade has been so placed by proper authorities for the purpose of warning drivers not to enter the frozen surface of Geneva Lake.

(a) 
Prohibited generally. No person may operate upon a street, alley or highway, a motor truck having a gross weight of 10,000 pounds or less, when any person is in an open cargo area of the motor truck.
(b) 
Exceptions. Subsection (a) of this section does not apply to any of the following:
(1) 
A person operating a farm truck in conjunction with farm operations.
(2) 
A person operating a motor truck in a parade sanctioned by a local municipality.
(3) 
A person operating a motor truck for the purpose of transporting licensed deer hunters during the authorized deer hunting season.
(4) 
A person riding in a cargo area engaged in necessary duties as an employee.

(a) 
Prohibition. It is unlawful for any person to cause unreasonable, loud, or excessive noise within the City by operating any motor vehicles with a dynamic braking device engaged (including Jake braking, engine braking, or compression braking devices), except for the aversion of imminent danger to persons or property.
(b) 
Emergency vehicles. Emergency vehicles shall be exempt from this section.
(c) 
Signs. Signs shall be installed at the main arterial highways and truck routes leading into the City that shall state that such section is in effect. The Director of Public Works is authorized and directed to post appropriate signs consistent with the provisions of this section.
