Any current employee who dies from injuries sustained while in the performance of his or her duties or obligations with the City shall be eligible for a death-related benefit to be used towards the employee's funeral and internment expenses.
A. 
The benefit may not exceed $10,000.

B. 
The benefit is limited to the payment or reimbursement of funeral and internment expenses only.
C. 
To receive the benefits, proper receipts must be provided to and approved by the Office of Finance for reimbursement.
D. 
An "employee" is defined as a person who is employed with the City of Easton on a part-time or full-time basis. Such person must also receive a Form W-2 from the City of Easton to be eligible.
