As provided by law, a Borough Attorney shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council.

The Borough Attorney shall render legal services to the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Edgewater and perform such other duties as the Mayor and Council may from time to time assign.
The annual retaining fee of the Borough Attorney shall be as prescribed by ordinance of the Mayor and Council and shall be exclusive of fees for services rendered during the year which are evidenced by a bill properly sworn to as required by law and approved by resolution of the Mayor and Council.
