Pursuant to the provisions of the Local Housing Authorities
Law, as amended, of the State of New Jersey, a body corporate and
politic, to be known as the "Housing Authority of the Borough of Edgewater,"
be and the same is hereby created and established.
The Clerk be and he hereby is authorized and directed to file
a certified copy of this article with the Commissioner of the State
Department of Conservation and Economic Development.

The Housing Authority of the Borough of Edgewater be and the
same is hereby designated, constituted, authorized and empowered to
act as the Redevelopment Agency of the Borough of Edgewater pursuant
to the provisions of Chapter 100 of the Laws of 1949 of the State
of New Jersey, and any other law appertaining thereto and to have
and possess all rights, powers, privileges and immunities conferred
by said legislation upon such redevelopment agency. The Housing Authority
of the Borough of Edgewater is authorized and empowered to act pursuant
to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-1 et seq., known as the "Local
Redevelopment and Housing Law."
The Housing Authority of the Borough of Edgewater be and the
same is hereby designated, constituted, authorized and empowered to
act as the authorized public agency pursuant to the provisions of
the Federal Housing Act of 1949 for the purpose of redeveloping and
rehabilitating blighted areas in the Borough of Edgewater or areas
in the process of becoming blighted and to have and possess all rights,
powers, privileges and immunities conferred by said legislation upon
such authorized public agency.
The Housing Authority of the Borough of Edgewater be and the
same is hereby designated, constituted, authorized and empowered to
act as the authorized public housing agency pursuant to the provisions
of the Federal Housing Act of 1949 for the purpose of providing low-rent
housing for families of low income wherever the needs of such families
are not being adequately met by private enterprise and to have and
possess all rights, powers, privileges and immunities conferred by
said legislation upon said authorized public housing agency.
The Borough Clerk be and he hereby is authorized and directed
to file a certified copy of this article with the appropriate departments,
agencies or officials of the State of New Jersey and the federal government.
