A. 
Any householder or head of family in a house wherein occurs any Asiatic cholera, measles, typhus or typhoid fever, scarlet fever, membraneous croup, diphtheria, tuberculosis, smallpox or anterior poliomyelitis (infantile paralysis) shall immediately notify the Board of Health of the same and, until instructions are received from said Board, shall not permit any clothing or other property that may have been exposed to infection to be removed from the house; nor shall any occupant change his residence elsewhere without the consent of said Board during the prevalence of any public danger from said disease; and the Health Officer of said Board may, at his discretion, place a written or printed notice on the outer side or sides of the house and at such place or places as he may deem fit and proper, giving public notice of such disease in said house and forbidding all persons from entering said house without permission of the Health Officer until such notice shall be removed by said officer. No person other than the Health Officer shall remove such notice, nor shall any person mutilate or disfigure the same, under penalty of the law.

A violation of any of the provisions of this section shall subject the offending party to a penalty of $25 for each offense, and such violation shall constitute disorderly conduct and the person violating the same shall be a disorderly person.

Every physician who may be called to attend a case of infectious disease shall, as soon as he discovers the nature thereof, make a written report specifying the name and residence of the patient, the nature of the disease and any other facts relating thereto which he may deem important to the public health, and affix the date and sign his name thereto, and he shall transmit the same to the Board of Health within 12 hours if the disease be one of the following, viz.: Asiatic cholera, yellow fever, typhus fever, smallpox, scarlet fever, measles, diphtheria, membraneous croup or anterior poliomyelitis (infantile paralysis). If the disease be typhoid fever or tuberculosis, it shall be reported as above provided within 24 hours.

A violation of any of the provisions of this section shall subject the offending party to a penalty of $100 for each offense, and such violation shall constitute disorderly conduct and the person violating the same shall be a disorderly person.

No person or article liable to propagate a dangerous disease shall be brought within the limits of the jurisdiction of this Board without the special permit and direction of said Board, and whenever it shall come to the knowledge of any person that such persons or article has been brought within such limits, he shall immediately give notice thereof to said Board, together with the location thereof; nor shall any person without a permit from the Board of Health carry or remove from one building to any other any person sick of any contagious or infectious disease; nor shall any person, by any exposure of any individual sick of any contagious or infectious disease, or of the body of such person, or by any negligent act connected therewith, or in respect to the care or custody thereof or by needless exposure of himself or herself cause or contribute to or promote the spread of disease from any such person or from any dead body.

There shall not be a public or church funeral of any person who has died of smallpox, diphtheria, scarlet fever, yellow fever, typhus fever or Asiatic cholera; and the family of the diseased are required to limit the attendance to as few as possible, and prevent the presence, so as far as able, of those who have not had the disease of which the deceased person died; and it shall be the duty of householders and all persons concerned, where the death occurs from any contagious or pestilential disease, to prevent needless assembling in the apartments and house where such diseases are of all persons liable to become infected thereby. Any person who shall die of smallpox shall be buried between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. and under the supervision of the Health Officer.

A. 
School books or books from a circulating library shall not be taken into a house where smallpox, typhus fever, diphtheria, membraneous croup, scarlet fever or measles exists. If school books or library books have already been taken into such house, they must be properly disinfected before they are again taken to school or placed in circulation.
