There is hereby adopted by the City, so far as it is not in conflict with the laws of the state or rules and regulations of the General Construction Board of the state, for the purpose of regulating the erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, repair, moving, removal, conversion, demolition, occupancy, equipment, use, height, area and maintenance of buildings or structures in the City and for the purpose of providing for the issuance of permits and the collection of fees, that certain code known as the "New Mexico Uniform Building Code," adopted by the General Construction Board and accepted by the Construction Industries Commission and which is also known as the "International Building Code 2009" and the "International Residential Code 2009." The City does hereby adopt such codes in their entirety, and any amendments or changes thereto, including any and all new editions thereof, and the same are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out verbatim in this article, except that the fee schedule is to be derived from the building valuation data from the current International Code Council book and Appendix L of the International Residential Code 2009 unless and until the same is repealed by ordinance of the City Council.
One or more copies of the New Mexico Uniform Building Code adopted by § 150-1 shall be available and subject to inspection at all reasonable times in the office of the City Manager in the municipal building.
