A. Assault consists of either:
(1) An attempt to commit a battery on the person of another;
(2) Any unlawful act, threat, or menacing conduct which causes another
person to reasonably believe that he is in danger of receiving an
immediate battery; or
(3) The use of insulting language toward another impugning his honor,
delicacy, or reputation.
B. Assault is a misdemeanor.
A. Battery is the unlawful, intentional touching or application of force
to the person of another when done in a rude, insolent or angry manner.
B. Battery is a misdemeanor.
It shall be unlawful to intentionally confine or restrain another
person without his consent and with knowledge that he has no lawful
authority to do so.
