No person shall wilfully destroy, deface, or in any manner injure
the fire alarm telegraph, or any part thereof in said City, or any
of the appurtenances of the same, or shall wilfully interfere with,
or do anything to the same to prevent delay or timely use thereof.
Any person offending against any provision of this section shall pay
a penalty of not less than $20 for every such offense.
No person shall open any alarm box connected with the fire alarm
telegraph, except by the authority of and with the key furnished by
the superintendent of the fire alarm telegraph. Every person offending
against any provision of this section shall forfeit and pay a penalty
of $25 for every such offense.
Every person who shall have, or keep in his possession, without
permission of the superintendent of the fire alarm telegraph, any
fire alarm telegraph key shall forfeit and pay a penalty of $5 for
every such offense.
No person shall post or in any way affix any placard, bill or
notice, either written or printed, upon any of the fire alarm boxes
in said City. Any person offending against any of the provisions of
this section shall forfeit and pay for each offense a penalty of not
less than $5 nor more than $25.
The superintendent of the fire alarm telegraph shall at all
times, and in all matters, act under, subject to, and in accordance
with the advice and instruction of the standing committee on fire
department.
