1999 Code of Ordinances)]
The compensation of each member of the Council of the Borough
of West Mifflin shall be equal to the maximum amount allowed a member
of Council of the Borough of West Mifflin as was authorized by Act
No. 58 of 1995, enacted October 31, 1995, which amended 53 P.S. § 46001
of the "Borough Code." Based on the current population of the Borough
of West Mifflin, each Council member's current compensation shall
be $4,125 per year. If the population of the Borough should increase
or decrease sufficiently to affect the amount of compensation authorized
by any legislation, as evidenced by subsequent census change in the
Borough, or should the maximum compensation amount per population
be increased in subsequent legislation, then the compensation for
each Council member shall be administratively adjusted according to
the formula set forth in said legislation to the maximum amount allowed.
The compensation of each Council member and the President of
Council shall be payable monthly from the general fund of the Borough.
