Pursuant to and in accordance with C.G.S. § 7-148(c)(4)(G) and § 7-234 et seq., the Town of Barkhamsted Inland Wetlands Commission is hereby designated to be, in addition to its other duties and responsibilities, the Town of Barkhamsted Water Commission.
The purpose of the Town of Barkhamsted Water Commission is to establish a relationship with the Winsted Water Commission so as to provide for an extension of the Town of Winchester water system to businesses on the Route 44 corridor in the Town of Barkhamsted, which are in need of such services.
Limited to the specific purposes as stated in § 11-11 herein, said Commission shall have all of the powers, purposes and objectives set forth in C.G.S. § 7-148(c)(4)(G) and § 7-234 to 7-244a, as they may be amended from time to time.
The Chairman of the Inland Wetlands Commission shall be the Chairman of the Water Commission. The Commission may appoint a clerk who need not be a member of the Commission, an attorney and other such employees as it may deem necessary and shall prescribe and define their duties. The Commission shall keep a complete record of its proceedings and shall file the same with the Town Clerk, as required by law. All such records shall be open for public inspection during business hours. Meetings of the Commission may be called in the same way that an Inland Wetlands Commission meeting may be called.
