The community development objectives of West Norriton Township
are to protect and promote safety, health and morals; to accomplish
a coordinated development of the Township; to provide for the general
welfare; to guide uses of land and structures, type and location of
streets, public grounds and other facilities; to consult with appropriate
governmental planning agencies; to lessen congestion in the streets;
to secure safety from fire, panic and other dangers; to provide for
adequate light and air; to prevent the overcrowding of land; to avoid
undue concentration of population; to facilitate transportation, water,
sewage, schools and playgrounds; to conserve the value of buildings
and encourage the most appropriate use of land.
