The creation of a Police Department in and for the Township of Upper Chichester and the appointment of policemen by the Board of Commissioners, subject to any applicable civil service provisions in the law,[1] is hereby approved.

The following positions are established and created within the police force of the Township of Upper Chichester:
A. 
Police Chief.
B. 
One Captain.
C. 
No more than two Lieutenants.
D. 
No more than seven Sergeants.
E. 
No more than four Corporals.
F. 
Detective.
G. 
And such police officers as the Board of Commissioners may appoint from time to time as circumstances dictate. Police officers shall be designated Patrol Officer First Class, and Patrol Officer.
