There is hereby created, in compliance with the provisions of
the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, Act 247, a Planning Commission to act for and on behalf of the
Township of Upper Chichester.

The Planning Commission shall consist of seven persons to be
appointed by the Board of Township Commissioners, each member to be
a resident of the Township of Upper Chichester. One member of the
Commission shall be appointed from each of the five wards of the Township
and two members of the Commission shall be at large appointees. Members
of the Commission shall be appointed for a term of four years. An
appointment by the Board of Township Commissioners to fill a vacancy
shall be for the unexpired portion of the term for which such appointment
is made. Each member of the Planning Commission shall serve without
compensation.
In no event shall the expenses of the Planning Commission, including
the salaries of such engineer or other employees as may be approved
by the Township Commissioners of the Township of Upper Chichester,
exceed the amount of appropriation provided for such Planning Commission
by the Township Commissioners of the Township of Upper Chichester.

The Planning Commission so established shall be known as "The
Planning Commission of the Township of Upper Chichester," and shall
have all the rights, powers and duties as provided in the Pennsylvania
Municipalities Planning Code, Act 247, and any amendments or supplements, thereto.
