The following rules and regulations with respect to the collection
of rubbish and garbage are hereby established.

Collections of rubbish and garbage shall be made on the dates
and at the times shown from time to time as set forth on a schedule
on file with the Township.

All rubbish and garbage must be placed curbside no earlier than
6:30 p.m. the night before the day of the scheduled pickup, and no
later than 6:30 a.m. on the day of the scheduled pickup.

Should the date of collection be a legal holiday, all rubbish
and garbage must be put out for collection the night prior to the
holiday, except if that night be Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve or
Halloween.

All containers must be removed from the curbside no later than
7:00 p.m. of the scheduled pickup day.

The following apply as regards containers used for the collection
of all rubbish and garbage and their content:
A. All rubbish and garbage must be placed in plastic bags and weigh
no more than 30 pounds.
B. Containers should be 40 gallons.
C. Steel drums or plastic drums are not acceptable containers.
D. Cardboard boxes should not be used as a container.
E. No sharp items should be protruding through the bags.
F. Broken glass should not be in a plastic bag. If a container contains
broken glass, the container should be clearly marked in that regard.
G. Rolled items, such as; carpets, carpet padding, pool liners and fencing
must be no longer that three feet in length and not exceed 25 pounds
in weight.
H. Discarded items with concrete attached such as pipes and posts shall
have the concrete broken off and the item shall be placed curbside
for collection.
I. Materials generated from minor home repairs and cleanups that do
not require a Township permit may be placed at curbside for collection.
J. Loose boards, wood products and other materials that are no longer
than three feet in length and do not exceed 25 pounds in weight must
be bundled and tied. All such items should be free of nails and/or
screws.
K. Diapers must be bagged in a closed garbage bag. If not properly packaged,
the Township will not dispose of this waste.

When a Township Sanitation Crew observes a violation of this
article, the container will be tagged. The item will not be picked
up until the violation is corrected.

A. The following items will not be picked up in regularly weekly trash
pickup.

Paint, oil or latex (and any related materials);

Paint thinners, cleaners;
(14)
Acetone (nail polish remover);
(16)
Lawn mowers, tractors or any item with a gasoline tank attached
(gasoline tank will be removed);

Drain openers or cleaners;
(26)
LP gas cylinders (propane);
(27)
Print toners, cartridges;
(35)
Portable gas grills (igniter will be removed);
(36)
Construction debris such as concrete, block, bricks, stone,
lumber, etc.

Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any provision
of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay
a fine of not more than $1,000, together with the costs of prosecution,
and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, shall be subject
to imprisonment for a term not to exceed 30 days. Every day that a
violation of this article continues shall constitute a separate offense.
