[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Health of the Township of Jackson 1-12-1976 by Ord. No. H7-75 (Ch. 121 of the 1972 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 26:3-3 et seq., there is hereby created the position of Health Officer in the Board of Health of the Township of Jackson.
The duties of the said Health Officer shall be as follows:
A. 
To enforce relevant public health laws.
B. 
When violations of relevant sanitary, health and other laws are found, to determine the cause and take proper corrective action.
C. 
To give testimony in cases.
D. 
To prepare suitable reports and maintain necessary records and files.
E. 
Such other duties as may from time to time be determined by the Board of Health of the Township of Jackson.
The annual salary for the position of Health Officer shall be determined from time to time by the Jackson Township Board of Health and shall be paid in accordance with the provisions of the Salary Ordinance of the said Board of Health.
The Board of Health shall appoint the Health Officer, who shall serve in accordance with the applicable civil service rules and regulations.
