As used in this article, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
ADDITION
A structural building component either attached to the exterior
of a mobile home or designed to be used by the occupant of a mobile
home, including awnings, carports, living and storage areas and covered
patios.
MOBILE HOME
A single-family or individual dwelling less than 20 feet
in width, designed for transportation, after fabrication, on streets
and highways on its own wheels or on a truck or trailer to a site
where it is to be occupied as a dwelling, complete and ready for occupancy,
except for minor and incidental unpacking and assembly operations,
location on jacks or permanent foundation and connection to utilities.
PERMIT
A written permit allowing a person or persons to occupy and
maintain a mobile home under the provisions of this article and regulations
issued hereunder.
Any dwelling, cabin or abode of any name or nature, if not included
under this article, shall be subject to the rules and regulations
of the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Schroeppel.
The provisions of this article shall not apply to a mobile home
located on the site of a construction project, survey or other similar
work project and used solely as a field office or work- or toolhouse
in connection with such project, except that a fee of $35 per calendar
year shall be paid to the Town Clerk for issuance of a permit to locate
a construction site field office trailer, the same to be obtained
prior to the placing of the trailer.
Application for a mobile home permit shall be made to the Town
Clerk and shall contain or be accompanied by the following:
A. The name of the applicant and his present residence address.
B. The name and age of each person who will occupy the mobile home.
C. The make, registration number, year and model of the mobile home.
D. A general description of the property on which the proposed mobile
home will be located.
E. A sketch map of the property showing:
(1) The general plan of the proposed site, including the location of
the home and attendant service facilities.
(2) Abutting property owners and the present use of the property.
(3) Any unusual special land features, such as streams, creeks, areas
subject to flooding and areas of steep slopes in excess of 15°.

A. A filing fee in an amount as separately established by resolution
by the Town Board shall accompany the application for a mobile home
permit, which shall be retained by the Town Clerk and be nonrefundable.
B. An additional fee in an amount as separately established by resolution
of the Town Board shall be paid to the Town Clerk upon receiving an
occupancy permit signed by the Building Inspector or Zoning Officer
or any other officer designated by the Town Board.
Every site shall contain an electrical wiring system consisting
of wiring fixtures, equipment and appurtenances which shall be installed
and maintained in accordance with the local electric company's
specifications and regulations. All wiring fixtures and connections
must have the approval of local power companies, the New York Board
of Fire Underwriters or such other authority as may be designated
by the Town.
