No person or persons shall operate a public food establishment
without first obtaining a sanitary code license from the governing
body of the Borough of Lindenwold.
As used in this article, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
FOOD ESTABLISHMENT
Any place where food or drink is stored, prepared, processed
or served for human consumption.
All oysters, clams and mussels shall be from sources certified
by the New Jersey State Department of Health.
Meat and meat products sold or given away in this municipality
shall be from an approved source.
All food sold or given away in this municipality shall be protected
from possible contamination.
All perishable food shall be stored at 45° F. or below or
140° F. or above, except when being prepared or served.
All food or drink sold or given away in this municipality shall
comply with standards, definitions and regulations promulgated by
the United States Department of Agriculture, Meat Inspection Division,
or by the United States Food and Drug Administration or by the New
Jersey State Department of Health.
Eating and drinking utensils shall be washed and sanitized before
each use in accordance with the rules and regulations established
by the County Board of Health.
Food establishment operators shall comply with all sanitary
regulations adopted by the governing body of the Borough of Lindenwold.
Each food establishment shall have at least one separate toilet
room with a washbasin, soap dispenser, individual towels and a flush
toilet. The toilet room shall be conveniently located.
No sleeping or living quarters shall have direct entrance to
a food establishment.
The Camden County Board of Health shall forbid or condemn the
sale of any food or drink which is or is suspected of being unwholesome,
contaminated, adulterated or misbranded within the meaning of the
New Jersey State Pure Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.
Whenever the owner or operator of any food establishment shall
fail to comply with any regulation of this chapter after being notified
so to do, the Camden County Board of Health shall close the said establishment
until the owner or operator has complied with the said health regulation.
