It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in the business
of junk dealer without an annual license issued by the Council.

A person desiring a junk dealer's license shall pay an annual
license fee of $100 to the City Clerk.

The storage of junk shall be only on premises for which a junk
dealers' license is granted.

Every junk dealer shall keep a book in which shall be written,
at the time of every purchase of any article, a description thereof,
the name, age and residence of the person from whom, and the day and
hour when such purchase was made. Such book shall at all times be
open to the inspection of any member of the council or any member
of the police department.

Every keeper of a junk shop shall put, in a suitable and conspicuous
place on his shop, a sign having his name and occupation legibly inscribed
thereon in large letters.

No junk purchased or received by any junk dealer shall be sold
until at least one week from the date of its purchase or receipt has
elapsed.

A junk dealer's shop, and all merchandise therein, shall be
open to inspection by any member of the council or any member of the
police department.
