[Amended 7-27-2016 by Ord. No. 16-16]
Whenever and wherever within the boundaries of the Village it
shall be made to appear that any person is violating any of the provisions
of this chapter, the Public Works Director may cause to be served,
personally or by mail, upon the alleged offender, a notice in writing
stating the date and nature of the alleged offense, and directing
that the same cease and desist immediately upon service of the notice
and that the act or omission causing such violation be corrected within
30 days, or within such reasonable time as the circumstances may require.
However, such notice shall not be a condition precedent to prosecution
for such violation.
The failure, neglect, and refusal of the person alleged to be
in such violation to cease and desist therefrom within the time stated
in such notice shall be deemed a violation of the provisions of this
chapter, and punishable as hereinafter provided.
No person shall maliciously, willfully, or wantonly break, damage,
destroy, uncover, deface, or tamper with any of the sewers, appurtenances,
equipment, machinery, lift stations, or structures of the sewage treatment
plant owned and operated by the Village. Any violation thereof shall
be punishable as hereinafter provided.
