The state statutes regulating operation of all-terrain vehicles and off-highway motorcycles, being 625 ILCS 5/11-1427 through 5/11-1427.3, as amended, are incorporated by reference as if fully set forth herein.
In addition to the directions for operation of all-terrain vehicles hereinabove set forth, operators must obey all traffic regulations as prescribed for motor vehicle traffic and are subject to the same penalties for violation thereof.
All-terrain vehicles operated within the corporate limits of the Village shall be equipped as required by the provisions of 625 ILCS 5/11-1427 through 5/11-1427.3.
It is unlawful for any person to drive or operate any all-terrain vehicle in the Village in a manner prohibited by 625 ILCS 5/11-1427 through 5/11-1427.3.
All operators of all-terrain vehicles shall not use Village streets, except as permitted by 625 ILCS 5/11-1427 through 5/11-1427.3.
In the event of an emergency, the restrictions as to routes and the use and operation of all-terrain vehicles within the Village may be waived for the operation of all-terrain vehicles that may be summoned or used in an emergency, provided the emergency is declared by the Chief of Police, Fire Chief of the Coal City Fire Protection District, the President, or the Civil Defense Coordinator.
