The quarterly rate for sewer service, for all users, shall be
based upon the amount of water used and shall be as follows:
A. For all use, a "uniform charge" for sewage treatment costs shall
be $1.75 per 100 cubic feet.
B. For the first 300 cubic feet, a "minimum charge," exempt from the "uniform charge" defined in §
121-18A shall be $60.
C. For all use between 300 cubic feet and 50,000 cubic feet in addition to the charges for the first 300 cubic feet defined in Subsections
A and
B above, the charge shall be $2.50 per 100 cubic feet plus the "uniform charge" of $1.75 per 100 cubic feet, making the cost for usage between 300 cubic feet and 50,000 cubic feet the total rate of $4.25 per 100 cubic feet.
D. For all use over 50,000 cubic feet, in addition to the charges defined in Subsections
A,
B and
C above, the charge shall be $1.50 per 100 cubic feet plus the "uniform charge" of $1.75 per 100 cubic feet, making a cost for usage over 50,000 cubic feet the total rate of $3.25 per 100 cubic feet.
E. This article shall be effective upon enactment, and said rates shall
become effective beginning with the billing payable February 1, 2019.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith are hereby
repealed.
All users of the public sewer service shall have water metering devices installed as approved by the Borough. Said water metering devices shall be used to determine the amount of water used as stated in §
121-18 of this article.
When a premises or building is divided into dwelling units in which separate kitchen facilities are provided or when a premises is divided into separate stores, businesses or professional offices or combinations of separate uses and the premises is served by only one water meter, then the quarterly minimum charge shall be multiplied by the number of such units, and the minimum quantity allowed shall be multiplied by the number of units; however, all consumption or usage above 1,100 cubic feet per billing period shall be charged at the rates defined in §
121-18 of this article.
Sewer service shall be considered in use and charges will be
payable at all times except when water service to the premises is
terminated. All units of a multiple-unit premises are considered in
use for all billing periods except when said premises is renovated
to totally exclude any further use of said individual unit.
