The 2009 International Residential Code (IRC) and the International Building Code (IBC), including all present and future amendments, are hereby adopted by reference pursuant to NMSA 1978, § 14-16-5.
A. 
Copies of the 2009 IBC and the 2009 IRC, including all present amendments thereto, as adopted herein are available for inspection between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the office of the Clerk of the City of Socorro, New Mexico and may be inspected by any interested party.
B. 
Copies of the aforementioned codes as adopted herein may be viewed during standard business hours at the City's Building Department. Copies may be available for purchase at the standard rates set forth in the Inspection of Public Records Act.[1]

Any person convicted of violating the provisions of this article may be punished as set forth in Chapter 1, Article III, Penalties, of the Socorro City Code.
The Uniform National Fire Code is hereby adopted by reference pursuant to NMSA 1978, § 14-16-5.
A copy of the Uniform National Fire Code as adopted herein is available for inspection between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the office of the Fire Chief of the City of Socorro and may be inspected by any interested party.
