As used in this Part, the term "temporary poster or sign" shall
mean any paper, cardboard, wood or other type of surface with printed,
pictorial or illustrative material thereon, prepared for the purpose
of transmitting to the reader or observer any information or message.

Prior to any person, firm or corporation placing any temporary
poster or sign within the confines of any public right-of-way within
the Borough of Jefferson Hills, there shall be posted with the Secretary
of the Borough a cash bond in the amount as established, from time
to time, by resolution of Borough Council.

1. At the time of the posting of the cash bond required in §
19-102 of this Part, there shall be submitted to the Borough, on a form supplied by the Borough, the following information:
A. The name and address of a responsible person who is placing the temporary
posters or signs, or who will be responsible for their removal.
B. The general nature and purpose of the posters or signs to be placed.
C. Size, type and location of signs.
D. Date sign will be removed.
2. A true and correct copy of the application form showing the information
that must be furnished is attached hereto, marked Exhibit A and made
a part hereof.

If the temporary signs and posters are not removed within 10
days after the date when it was declared to the Borough that they
would be so removed, the bond posted pursuant hereto shall be forfeited
to the general fund of the Borough.

Nothing in this Part shall be construed to grant to any person,
firm or corporation any license, permission or consent to post any
temporary poster or sign within any public right-of-way within the
Borough of Jefferson Hills.

All applicants are required to file a separate permit application
for each proposed temporary sign design, with a separate permit fee
and/or separate posting of cash bond, as established from time to
time by resolution of Borough Council.
