The Board of Health of the Borough as heretofore established
is hereby continued.

The Board of Health shall consist of five members who shall
be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council.
Each Board member shall hold office for a term of three years. If
any vacancy occurs in the Board by the death, resignation or inability
of any member to serve or from any other cause, the vacancy shall
be filled in the same manner in which the original appointment was
made, but for the unexpired portion of the term only.

The Board of Health shall elect a president from among its own
membership. It shall appoint a Registrar of Vital Statistics, Clerk
and Sanitary Inspector who may be the same person. The Board may also
appoint such other officers and assistants as the Board may deem necessary.
All appointees of the Board shall be governed by the rules of the
Board and they may be removed for cause by the Board.

The Board shall adopt rules and regulations for its own government
and that of its officers and employees not inconsistent with law or
the State Sanitary Code.

The Sanitary Inspector and all members of the Police Department
shall report to the Board every violation of any health ordinance
which comes within their observation and knowledge.
