(a)
Upon request of the owner or purchaser of property within the Borough
with a building or structure other than one-family or two-family residential
buildings or structures, the Bureau of Fire Prevention within the
Morris Plains Fire Department shall make an inspection of the premises
and issue a certificate that either enumerates unabated violations
and/or unpaid fees or penalties as shown on its records or states
that there are no unabated violations and no unpaid fees or penalties.
(b)
A person who purchases a property covered by this article without
having obtained a certificate stating that there are no unabated violations
and no unpaid penalties and fees from the Bureau of Fire Prevention
within the Morris Plains Fire Department shall be deemed to have notice
of all violations of record and shall be liable for the payment of
all unpaid fees or penalties.
